TELL IT LIKE IT IS

 

We all say, "tell it to me straight - don't lie to me." Well, you better sit down, because you are about to face the God's honest truth about yourself, your future, and all the lies you may be believing.

Concerning Yourself

You are in trouble. You may not think so, but you have broken God's Laws, and ignored them, and rejected them so often, that if there was a counter in the shape of a dial ticking off every time you lied, or coveted something, it would spin like a fan! You don't have to be on drugs to be in trouble with God. You don't even have to be a murderer. From the first lie, and the first time you stole something, you sinned. Every time you were full of pride, you sinned. And you have been sinning ever since. The truth is, you are a sinner, and sinners don't go to heaven.

Don't believe me - take a look at this: "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God" (1Corinthians 6:9,10). "There is none that doeth good, no not one" (Romans 3:12). "Whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all" (James 2:10). Even if you only tell a lie, it's just as if you broke all God's commandments! It's that bad. And it's that serious.

Or how about: "Adultery, fornication, uncleanness (of heart), lasciviousness (lust), idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance (unfaithfulness), emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God" (Galatians 5:19-21). Have you ever done ANY of those things? If you are truthful, you know you sin, and will sin some more, and in the end, you will die. But believe me, it won't end there.

Concerning your Destiny

You are most probably headed for hell. I know, hell is supposed to be outdated, and politically incorrect to even mention, but all the people in the world who decide hell is no longer real cannot change its temperature by one degree. There is no other place to go if you sin. Wake-up and realise hell is real, and is going to be forever. Jesus said hell is, "everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels" (Matthew 25:41). Moses quotes God saying, "a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell" (Deuteronomy 32:22). The apostles Paul, Peter, James and even king David all say hell is a horrible place that the wicked go to and burn and suffer in forever. "The smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever" (Revelation 14:11). Please understand, that "God is not willing that any should perish" (2Peter 3:9).

If the truth is too much for you at this point, and you want to put this leaflet down, then go ahead - it's your destiny. Just remember, someone had the courage to tell you the truth, and warn you about such a place - because they cared!

Concerning Deception

This world's view of God, and self, and sin is so twisted that people have become numb to the nagging sense of guilt, and shame that used to haunt us all when we sinned against Almighty God. Churches promote people's goodness, and God's "love" so much that they ignore the fact that human nature hasn't changed in 6,000 years. We have NOT changed. "There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, and yet are not washed from their own filthiness" (Proverbs 30:12). That's this generation. The X-generation. The NOW-generation. Possibly, the LAST-generation. The question is: are YOU ready to meet God? Remember, people will bury you, just like they did your ancestors.

Don't think your religious efforts are going to make any difference. You were probably deceived into thinking Mary could help you, or the saints, or the Church, all your prayers, and sincerity. But, one of these days, you will wake-up in hell and discover you were lied to. God says, "all our righteousnesses (good deeds) are as filthy rags" (Isaiah 64:6). Dirty, stinking, filthy rags that no one would want to even touch - that's us, at our "best."

But don't stop here - the best is yet to come!

Here's the Bottom Line

As a sinner, you will face the wrath of your Creator unless someone perfect, and sinless takes your place. The only person who could take your place was Jesus, the Son of God! You know Him - His is the name you always shout when things go wrong. He is the One you roll your eyes at because He always looked so wimpy in all the pictures at church. Well, you've been misled again. That "jesus" is not the Jesus of the Bible. The Jesus of the Bible never fell when He carried the cross. He didn't have blond hair, or blue eyes. He was a Jew. And he never meant for you to go through life not knowing where you will spend eternity! Think about it - your sins held Jesus to that cross. You couldn't begin to name them all. And if you wanted to try and pay for them all, it would take an eternity. I don't think you have that kind of time, so here's what to do. And if you are wise, you will do it soon. You don't have the promise of a tomorrow.

No 1. Repent. That means hate your sins - all of them, and agree with God that you deserve hell. Hate also your own goodness. You just are not good enough for God's heaven if you are honest about it.

No 2. Accept the free gift of salvation - eternal life comes only from Jesus Himself. "The gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Talk to Him in prayer right now, and accept the forgiveness that He offers you for ALL your sins. Not just one or two. He makes only full payments. "The blood of Jesus Christ God's Son cleanseth us from all sin" (1 John 1:7). Jesus, not some dead religion, is your ticket home to heaven! The gospel is all about allowing Jesus to come into your life, and save your soul - but it is up to you to ask Him to do so!

No 3. Get free. To believe THE TRUTH, is to finally be free. Totally free from the bondage of sin, the fear of hell, and all the lies and deception you may be trapped in. Jesus said, "Know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

Why not cry out to God from your heart right now, and ask Him to have mercy on you, and save your soul. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13). It is that simple! Don't be so proud you would miss this opportunity. Only you can settle your destiny, by simple child-like faith in Jesus, the living Lamb of God - He is your only Saviour from the coming wrath of God. Do it now! You could be heaven-bound for sure, all because you finally accept the truth that Jesus came to save you. So, ask Him to save you - Right now!
