5. What does God describe as the penalty of sin?
Chastisement
Chastisement is only for those who are God's children. It is simply correction for wrong doing, not PUNISHMENT. People who are not born again, face something much, much worse!
For the wages of sin is death; Romans 6:23
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:17
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4
For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should
not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
