Somebody must be able to interpret, or no tongues were to be spoken!

The spirits of the person speaking in tongues are under the control of the person

When spoken correctly, as a known language, it too produces peace, not confusion

 

If any of the above is out of line, then it did not come from God, and it only harmed the cause of Christ, and MUST be repented of!
